Challenge: The technical challenge of AI distributed training

Although the future of utilizing distributed AI computing power appears promising, achieving this goal presents significant challenges. We consulted with hundreds of professors and CTOs in the AI industry, and over 99% of them expressed concerns about GPU-to-GPU communication. According to their experience, AI training demands very high bandwidth for communication, which is typically met by NvLink and network cards with speeds exceeding 100 Gbps. In contrast, traditional peer-to-peer networks offer much lower speeds, with communication between two 100 Mbps home networks often only reaching tens of Kbps, making this task seem nearly impossible. Another major challenge is the technical complexity involved in setting up a computer to provide cloud computing services. Most PC users lack the professional command line skills required for such tasks.
